Labor Day in the Mountains 2025

Hi friends, and happy Labor Day from Everwild Mountain Collective. The mountains are buzzing this weekend with sunshine today, rain in the forecast to come, and plenty of mountain magic in between. Every one of our cabins is full, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude.

Labor Day has always been a time for gathering — front porch stories, festival music drifting through the holler, rodeo dust kicking up under the lights. If you’re here in Union, Towns, Fannin, or just across the line in Clay County, here’s your Everwild roundup of where to wander this holiday weekend.

Hiawassee

• Pro Rodeo at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds — Saturday and Sunday nights, bulls, barrels, and mountain grit

Blairsville

• Mountain Heritage Festival — courthouse concert tonight, then two full days of crafts, music, and history

• Grape Stomp at Paradise Hills Winery — roll up your jeans and taste the harvest

Hayesville

• Pop-up Market at Lazy Llama — small town treasures and handmade finds

• Live music at Eagle Fork Winery — sip and stay awhile with mountain views

McCaysville

• Rafting on the Ocoee

• Paddleboarding on Lake Blue Ridge

• Boating or fishing on Lake Nottley

The mountains are giving us a golden Friday before the rain rolls in. Porch sittin, hand pies, rodeo ridin… mountain time at its best.

If you missed a cabin this time, autumn is just around the bend. Colors come quick and the best dates go first. Reach out when you’re ready and I’ll help you find your place with that Everwild sparkle that makes it feel like home.
